The ProMaster EV has standard driver and passenger side airbags combined with three-point seat belts, a combination which is 29% more effective in preventing injury and death than seatbelts alone. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer a passenger side airbag, only driver’s.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Ram ProMaster EV are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Chevrolet BrightDrop doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The ProMaster EV has standard Multi-Collision Braking, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The ProMaster EV’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the ProMaster EV and the BrightDrop have standard driver’s frontal airbag, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, front wheel drive, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The ProMaster EV has standard front and rear stabilizer bars, which help keep the ProMaster EV flat and controlled during cornering. The BrightDrop’s suspension doesn’t offer a rear stabilizer bar.

The ProMaster EV’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the ProMaster EV’s wheelbase is 5.9 inches longer than on the BrightDrop 400 (159 inches vs. 153.1 inches).

The ProMaster EV is 7.7 inches narrower on average than the BrightDrop, making the ProMaster EV easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The ProMaster EV is 8 inches shorter in height than the BrightDrop, making the ProMaster EV much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

To allow full utilization of available cargo room, the ProMaster EV’s cargo door uses door-type hinges that don’t intrude into the cargo area. Its intrusive roll-up hinge reduces the BrightDrop’s useful cargo area space.

The ProMaster EV has a much higher standard payload capacity than the BrightDrop 600 eAWD (3020 vs. 2110 lbs.).

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the ProMaster EV to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Chevrolet doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the BrightDrop.

The ProMaster EV’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The BrightDrop’s available power window controls are down in the center of the dashboard, away from the windows and mixed with controls for unrelated features.

In addition to the standard right side sliding door, the Ram ProMaster EV offers an optional driver’s side rear sliding door. This door simplifies loading and unloading passengers and it allows parents to easily secure two children into child seats. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer a driver’s side rear door.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the ProMaster EV has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The ProMaster EV’s sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The BrightDrop’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.

The ProMaster EV’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The BrightDrop’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

Both the Ram ProMaster EV and Chevrolet BrightDrop offer exterior mirrors that can be folded to provide convenience. The ProMaster EV offers optional power folding mirrors, which allow for easy, one-touch folding or unfolding at the driver’s discretion. This provides added convenience when maneuvering or parking, as well as when walking past the parked vehicle. In comparison, the BrightDrop’s foldable mirrors are manual, requiring the driver to get out and physically fold them once parked and unfold them before getting in.

The ProMaster EV has a standard center folding armrest for the driver and front passenger. A center armrest helps combat driver fatigue. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer a front seat center armrest.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Ram ProMaster EV offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the front center console. The BrightDrop doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
